Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Dormido"

Translations of "Dormido"

Q: How do you say this in English (US)? Me quedé dormido o no sonó mi alarma
A: I’ve actually asked about how to say this in Spanish... and it bugged me how there wasn’t a literal translation. Literally in English it would be “I was asleep/I stayed asleep/I kept sleeping” (it sounds kinda awkward) and “my alarm didn’t go off” (colloquially we say “go off” to mean “to sound”)

BUT in English this would be something like “I slept through my alarm” (this means that your alarm went off but you didn’t hear it or it didn’t wake you up) 👍
Q: How do you say this in English (US)? "estaré dormido para cuando llegues"
A: I'll be asleep by the time you get here.
