Questions about example sentences with, and the definition and usage of "Glid"

Other questions about "Glid"

Q: Just glid it quickly to me over the table. does this sound natural?
A: Yes, exactly! Even if someone did interact with the object, if the sentence ONLY talks about the object, both "glide" and "slide" is okay.

But it's different when it's not only the object being talked about. In a sentence like "the soap was slid over the table", you wouldn't say "glided over the table" because that "was" implies that the soap did not slide by itself. That "was" implies that someone caused the soap to slide.
