“I would like to ask you to issue and invoice” can emphasize politeness. Since the speaker wants the listener to do a favor, they may phrase the sentence this way. It makes it seem like the speaker is asking and not commanding the listener to issue the invoice.

The phrase can also be said “I would like to ask you to issue an invoice, but I want you to get me a coffee instead.” In this sentence, the speaker is expressing an initial desire that is then ignored for the sake of something more important.

Q: I'll send you the updated invoice soon. does this sound natural?
A: It is perfect, but.....
"soon" is a little vague. It's what a person says when they don't want to do it now. It kind of implies "later" like tomorrow or next week.
"right away" is better because it sounds more immediate.
"now" is even better
"right now" is better than that.

I would never tell a customer "soon" because it sounds as though he/it is not important enough to me to do it now - even if he isn't. I can't even imagine telling the owner of our company or officers "soon" if they requested something from me.

Hope that helped!
