Translations of "Lyric"

Q: How do you say this in English (UK)? In the lyrics of the song ‘Election’ by Don dilego

« I’m hopelessly just pushing for the world to elect me »

What does ‘elect’ exactly mean in this sentence? I think it’s not used as ‘vote’ or ‘select’ which is the basical meaning of the word.
A: I couldn't understand much deeper meaning of the song but what I think is that the lyricist wants to convey that he is sad or something and he can't feel happiness/positivity around him.
So he wants people to accept him and share their happiness with him. Since there are many such people like him who are sad...so the "happy" people must choose him/elect him among others to accept him(lyricist). He's kind of pleading them :)
Q: How do you say this in English (US)? The lyrics might contain some awkward expressions since I’m not good at English, please no flames about it.
↑Is this correct??
JP→知識不足のため、英語が不自然な場合があります、ご容赦ください
A: I'm assuming you are trying to use internet slang "Please no flame" instead of "Please no flames about it" . It isn't proper grammar so adding it to a sentence like that makes it confusing.
If you want it to sound proper, try " I'm not good at English, so please be kind."

“Go on, eat it.” as an order to eat sushi.
Or say “Go on, try it.” if it is their first time eating sushi and you want to encourage them to taste it.

My cold heart

널 부르는 법을 잊었지만
Has forgotten how to call you but

외롭지 않은 걸, 괜찮아, 괜찮아
I'm not lonely, I'm fine, I'm fine

3.Which is a subject of the sentence from 'Was' to 'all in all'?
4.lyrics doesn't have periods. so how should I understand if a sentence or a phrase at end of the sentence connects to a new line sentence?

Thank you.
A: I looked up the lyrics - the first word "was" is actually "worked," so "Worked all the summer, and all the fall..." But there is an "I" before "worked," which is left out because we understand that the speaker is talking about himself from context. That omitted "I" is the subject of the sentence.

Still is the light, of your room
When you're not inside
And all of your things
Tell the sweetest story line
Your tears on these sheets
And your footsteps are down the hall
So tell me what I did
I can't find where the moment went wrong at all

What does "Still is the light, of your room" means?

A: @LAPIS: "Still is the life, of your room when you're not inside, and all of your things tell the sweetest storyline, your tears on these sheets..." this complete paragraph is describing a situation in which a man is missing his lady, and all the things in the room are memories of her, in other words the word "life" is referring to the essence of the lady which remains thanks to all what was left in the room.
