A: Spastic means relating to muscle spasms. A spasm is an involuntary contraction of a muscle. It can also be an involuntary convulsion of a muscle. It can be like a sudden jerk or twitch.
Note that spastic may be used as slang towards a person who is clumsy however it can be highly offensive.

A cramp is different in that it is painful. It is still a muscle contraction, but it is painful and lasts longer.
