recommend translation for bio : 한국어를 배우는 중이예요.
both same meaning ,

that is different nuance.
when you write like first thing, it is nuance like company or people for some work.

want to ask more, why do the sentences not write with 고있어 ending? as i know it is to show what is still progressing.

you are right. also 고있어 is same thing. it is just different of expression.
But 고 있어. can use to same old an younger and friendly people.
-고 있어 has age limit.
-예요, -입니다. can use to any generation
