Could you please explain what does the"lines"mean ?

These phrases refer to the design of buildings. Pitch is the angle of the roof so a steeply pitched roof is a very steep roof. The opposite is a flat roof or a gently sloping roof.
Lines refers to the outline of the building. Simple unadorned lines means that the outline of the house is made up of straight lines with no fancy decorations, just like the outline of a simple box. The opposite is a house with ornate lines.
