Question about English (UK)

Papua golden stag beetles are active during the day, so they are suitable for exhibitions.
Their metallic colours have some useful functions.
One is to cheat bird's eyes. Birds are thier enemy. Their metallic body can mirror
surrounding landscape, so birds can’t spot them.
The other is for keeping out the heat. Their metallic body colour reflect the light and is
effective in reducing heat. Heat don't stored inside their body.
