Question about Japanese

To explain which kanji is used in a name when asked 書きかたは何ですか (for example 野原の野 です), for the kanji 理, is it easily understandable to say 理科の理です? Is there a better way to indicate 理? Also, I'd like to ask the same question about 稲. If the reading is いな, can you say いなはいねです?
