Many people know about South Korea because of Kpop and Dramas. Also,,, Gangnam Style by PSY back in 2012.
I knew about South Korea for a long time. I have been subscribed to this one Korean Youtuber since 2015 and he would share things about Korea and such, but I was never genuinely interested until about a year ago. I found Kpop and I liked it, so I became interested in learning the language. (I started learning Korean in August of this year)
I don’t like Kpop that much anymore (only one or two groups and a couple of songs) but I really enjoy learning Korean and I’ve made some good Korean friends through Kakao and such. Korea looks like a relatively nice place, so I would like to go there in the future and/or go to college for one year in South Korea. I would like to live in a foreign country when I grow up. I’ve decided on either Korea, China, Japan, or Australia. I love learning about Korean culture and the language is fascinating to me. Korea has really interested me the most.
I also, of course, watch dramas from time to time. Apparently it would help me learn some Korean, but I haven’t really learned much from it. lol. I really enjoy the actor Yoo Seung Ho. He seems like a very flexible actor and he has a happy smile.
I think most people have become interested in Korea because the music and dramas. In America, BTS has become extremely popular. I’m not a big fan of them, but there are many people who enjoy their music and even have merchandise. I’ve seen many magazines with BTS on the front cover.
한류 has spread to America.

Thank you all!
@Muuluzi Actually, America is one of the powerful nation in the world, and the largest pool of information. I'm a kind of software engineer, I need to find trendy information. To search and to understand those kind of news and articles I need to learn English.
And I'm interested in about 한류 in other country these days, so to understand their thought I'm asking this question.
Thank you for your kind answer.
