If the supplier broke the agreement, then the buyer would not pay the supplier the agreed upon price due the not following the agreement.
So if I am selling an apple to you for $1, and you say okay. We make an agreement. We sign it. Then I sell you a rotten apple, but the agreement said a good apple, you don’t oh me the $1 because I broke the agreement.
