哈哈,这就是我教英语时,学生范的最常见的毛病之一,dentists 确实要读成两个 s,读为 ssss tzzz, ssss 像蛇发出的声音(丝),tzzz 像(刺)。denti(丝刺)需要多多练习才能读得快。

cloe-the-zzz, but without the 'e' in 'the'. There will be a little vowel between 'th' and 'zz'; don't worry about it, even native English speakers can't help saying it. ^.^

Usually you hear clothes pronounced as “close” perhaps with a slight “th” sound due to the somewhat complex tongue acrobatics the correct pronunciation requires. Now try to pronounce “texts.” Thanks to the advent of texting, also a new word, this has become a word, a word that is nearly impossible to pronounce with ease.
