I’m actually here to tell you about your iPhone’s Japanese keyboard issue, since you already established a featured answer I couldn’t reply back to you. Anyway, I’m saying is that is the issue occurring in Romaji or Kana keyboard? I too have the keyboard on my iPhone which has both Kana and Romaji, which is what I’m currently using on the device to ask questions and help others. If the issue is Romaji, it could be because the hiragana or katakana has been converted into kanji(Chinese characters) if you’re not aware. For example: にほん become 日本 or たべもの become 食べもの
@RoyalShanty tysm for helping me but I when I was using the romanji keyboard I was typing in English words thinking it automatically translated into Chinese. imso duMB yes I know LMFAO my friend helped me figure it out
