Question about English (US)
為什麼要用fried chicken 不能用fry chicken
fry能當名詞用,也看過其他名詞修飾名詞的用法 例如 flower shop(花店)
soup spoon(喝湯的湯匙)
door bell(門鈴)
computer desk(電腦桌)
Christmas party(聖誕派對)

“To Fry” is a verb. The chicken is fried, as in it was fried in the past. Flower, soup, and computer are all nouns.
Other examples would be “mashed potatoes” “starched shirts” “smoked sausage” “paved roads” “covered porch” etc.
