ヴ is widely used. It's pronounced ぶ(bu) and shows that the pronunciation of the word in the original language is 'v'.
For example, バイオリン can be spelled ヴァイオリン too.

I 've seen once ラヴ is used in the label of The Beatles' album, "Love Songs"
I think such special words are very difficult to be typed by phone.
