These days most people in Germany eat all sorts of foods from around the world. Each region in Germany actually has its own cuisine, though. The traditional foods of Bavaria are quite different from the ones in northern Germany, for example. During Christmas time, though, similar Christmas foods are generally eaten around the country.
Some typical Christmas foods or snacks include things like Weihnachtsstollen and Lebkuchen.

In my family we often eat Italian food like Pizza or Paste (Nudeln), but we also like Käsespätzle.
Around Christmas we usually eat Käsefondue and Raclette.
I think I am not the most typical German :)
