Hello everyone, today we are gonna talk about the region of South West in England.
We are gonna begin with the presentation of the region : So South West is one of nine official regions of England and it’s the largest in area covering 23,800 km2. The region is split into 7 counties, Gloucestershire, Bristol, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorest, Devon and Cornwall a city with its own language . The largest city is Bristol. The region is known for its rich folklore as well as its tradition and customs. The climate of South West England is classed as oceanic so typically cool winters with warmer summer and precipitation all year round. The South West region is largely rural, with small towns and villages, a higher proportion of people live in such areas than in any other English region. The population is about five million so the region has a smaller population compared to London. The region has also been home to some of Britain’s most renowned writers, including Daphne du Maurier and Agatha Christie.
