Question about Japanese

What does 医は仁術なり i wa jinjutsu nari mean?

In the Japanese-English dictionary, 仁術 (jinjutsu) is translated as "benevolent act". So I guess this means something like "medicine is benevolent"?

But I just wonder if it means anything deeper?

Also, could 仁術 mean something like "the art of benevolence". In a similar way to the martial arts - 柔術、剣術、体術 (jūjutsu, kenjutsu, taijutsu) etc? Or is 術 different in this case?
