This computer should come into its own, especially in the next project. Does this sound natural?

@Momovial Like, in our office, we are wondering if we should buy a new computer. I picked up one of the candidates, but some of my coworkers frowned because it was quite expensive. However, I tried to say the high-end computer I picked should work really well and appropriate not only for our current project but the next big one.

I suspect the usage of "come into its own" was quite strange. I'd like to just translate "本領を発揮する" or ”真価を発揮する” in English. This means like "show its true power," "show its real value," or kind of like them.
