Question about English (UK)
I'd like to ask you if what I've written here sounds fine to you in terms of grammar. Would you change anything?
I haven’t travelled much so far. I’ve only been to Hungrary twice for my summer holidays. The thing is, travelling has never been my priortiy - there’ve always been more important things to spend money on. But when I finally settle down and have a family, I think I’ll travel more.

@ist19 Thank you. Would it still be fine if I said: there've always been more important things I've had to spend my money on.
Am I not overusing the present perfect here? On the other hand, I'm talking about a period up to now, so I guess it should be ok.

Yeah, that’s also fine. It changes the nuance like you said, but it doesn’t sound unnatural.

@ist19 Hey. Coming back to the sentence I wrote, can you tell me please if could use the past tense here as well instead of the present perfect? Would there be any difference? "There've always been more important things I've had / had to spend my money on".

@Natalia922 I don’t think there would be much difference in this case. These are all so similar that I honestly don’t think I could explain the difference for you. If you really want a specific explanation I’d suggest just reading a grammar explanation of the tense differences online.
Anyway, both versions sound natural to me. 👍

@ist19 I just wanted to know if it's common to use these two tenses in a sentence like I mentioned above. But I guess it is from what you've just said.
