In the following sentences, I think "them" is correct instead of "it" because rainbows are plural. What do you think about it?
The tribe thought that rainbows are demonic spirits. They would blame rainbows for sudden deaths by drowning, and reasoned that the hard work of taking a life made it thirsty enough to appear in the sky and drink rain.
