Question about English (US)
To investigate that hypothesis, Edgar and her collaborators exposed mice to herpesvirus at different times. They found that the peak viral load—that is, how much the viruses were replicating—was 10 times as great in mice exposed at the beginning of their resting period (the day) as in those exposed at the beginning of their active period (the night).
Does it mean the peak viral load in mice, exposed at the start of their resting period (the day), was 10x as great as that in mice, exposed at the start of their active period?
Thanks very much!
