Question about Japanese

What is the difference between 「たく」 and 「たい」 ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

Basically they both mean "want" and when put in a sentence with for example 「行く」, 「行きたい」/「行きたくない」means "I want to go"/"I don't want to go", but 「行きたく」/「行きたいない」also means "I want to go"/"I don't want to go". So what's the difference?
