Question about English (US)

"I miss you." means like...I want to see you/I want to talk to you...something like that, right?

Then how about this?
"I miss a school/I missed a school."?

Does it mean "I wasn't able to go to school or I want to go there again because I really like there ?
I'm always confused it.
