What is the difference between
I must have dropped off during the show, because I don't remember how it ended.
and
I must have dropped off during the show, because I can't remember how it ended.
?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

Probably both are natural. but, in this case, I think the second sentence is correct. because I try to remember it, but I can't. is it right?
