@momochanhs: thanks for your reply! I remember I've seen ほど couple times already while studying grammars but unfortunately I haven't really got them into my head yet... Something that has multiple meanings, such as ほど, will take me a lot of time to memorize.
@herozuki: Thank you again! 😆 I was suggested that 寒い時にこそ = 寒い時ほど so I was thinking maybe they have something to do with each other. (and thus my question) I do notice that there is a に before こそ so maybe "にこそ"="ほど" instead? Sorry to trouble you...
