「病院がある方です」「病院側のです」

My son is at a McDonald`s on a main street. He called and asked me to come pick him up.
But there is a McDonald`s on either side of the main street.
I don`t know which one he is at. So I asked "Which one?" He said "The one on the hospital side"
There is a large hospital 3 buildings away from the McDonald`s at which he was.
