お年寄りの多くは若手の世代のやることにいちいち文句を言うようだ。その頃の生活水準に伴った考え方は今や変わりつつあるので、「見慣れない言動」が見られるのも同然だ。今頃のやり方が若者にとっては当たり前だ。ある行動が無難であっても、「全然違うょ」や「絶対ダメ」などと言われたら、誰でも挫かれるだろう。

(英原文: It seems that many elderly people complain about everything the younger generation does. Along with the lifestyles back then, the ways of thinking are changing nowadays, so it’s very common to see behaviors that the elderly aren’t accustomed to. For young people, the “modern way of doing things” is very common/normal. Even though it’s harmless, it’s discouraging for anyone to be told that their “actions” are wrong or bad.)
