Question about Portuguese (Brazil)

How do you say "it" in Portuguese?

For example:
"I can't watch it"

I have seen, that sometimes a "-lo" is added to the verb, so in this example it would be:

"Não posso assistir-lo". I'm not sure though if Brazilians do this as well or if this is only used in Portugal.

Another way of saying it would probably be:

"Não posso assistir isso", but I don't feel like this would be a good translation, since it translates to "I can't watch that" and not "I can't watch IT"
