they main character is sick and about to die. his trip to the mountains is a symptom of his illness. his nervousness, anger and the fact that he argues with everyone along the way, too. it's a movie about dying and loneliness in a sense. I heard that the author wanted to show that dying is a painful process, physically and mentally, especially when there is no one around and your left on your own. That we should be mindful because we never know with whom are we speaking - healthy or sick people. sick people who have nothing to lose. I think... but don't take my words for granted.
