Question about Russian
How do you say this in Russian? Merry Christmas
How do you say this in Russian? Merry Christmas
I am aware of the fact that Russians might not celebrate Christmas the way we - Americans - celebrate. If that is so, can you at least give me some holiday greetings (i.e., Happy New Year?)

@Serg- They celebrate on January 7th because it is the day after Three Wise Men (January 6th)? If not, what is the reason of January 7th? I'm intrigued to learn that December 25th is not the date everyone celebrate Christmas!

May be you hear about Russian Old New Year ?
We "celebrate" it (not official) 13 of Jan.
The reason is the same - according to the "old calendar"

@Serg- so when can I start saying "С Рождеством"? Only on January 7th/13th or during the month of January?
Deleted user
@Azael47 : During the January - no - so long time )))
You can say it as 7 of january and 25 of december.
As I said, most of the Russian - Orthodox but there are Catholics who celebrate Christmas like in Western Europe and America.
But this part of the Russians is small
31 of December / 1 of january and 13 of jan / 14 of jan - Happy New Year = С Новым Годом
