Question about English (US)
Would it be rude to ask a waitress, "could you bring me a water?"
Would it be rude to ask a waitress, "could you bring me a water?"
Assume that I called a server in where it is allowed. Then I'll be asking her for a water. Then can I say that in the title? Or is there a politer way for that?

May I please have some water. May I please have more water (if you already had some before).
I think "some" works better because it usually comes from a larger pitcher. But you could say "a glass of water." However you could say "a coke," "a beer," "a coffee" without mentioning "glass" or "cup." But "a glass of wine." Or simply "wine" but not "a wine."

juST realized that "a water please" was fine. Then my question becomes, "any other way than those two to say that?"
- English (US)
I would probably say something like "Could I please have a water?" But I've heard people say "Can I get a water?" And "one water please", those are probably less polite though

@jhxxm18 but I think a grammar book I bought in Korea said "when you are ordering, you can count waters. Because they are in cups." Wouldn't it apply in this case?

You could say "may I have a water please" or "can I please get a water" sounds way nicer!
