What is the difference between 谦虚 and 腼腆 ?Feel free to just provide example sentences.

谦虚means modest or humble. 腼腆means shy. e.g. 他因谦虚而获得称赞。她很腼腆，不敢和男孩子们说话。

qiān xū means modest or humble. miǎn tiǎn means shy. e.g. tā yīn qiān xū ér huò dé chēng zàn 。 tā hěn miǎn tiǎn ， bù gǎn hé nán hái zi men shuō huà 。

@wenshan 稍微有点区别。腼腆单纯表示难为情。害羞是没有说话前或没有见面就已经难为情。我上面给的例子不是很好，应该改为：她很害羞，不敢和男孩子们说话。腼腆的例子是：这个小孩子一见生人就会有些腼腆。
