Aún with accent means still, and without means even.
Example:
Even ill, he passed the test.
Aun enfermo, él aprobó el examen.
He's still sick, but he passed the test.
Él aún está enfermo, pero aprobó el examen.

@constantino87 Más o menos, aun sin acento expresa que la acción sigue en proceso, que no ha acabado.
Aunque o a pesar de, son contraposiciones.
Se podrían sustituir por aun, pero no significan lo mismo exactamente.
