"En" is the bokmål indefinite article for male nouns. In nynorsk, you should use "ein" (ein mann, ein gut, ein hund). "Et" is also bokmål. In nynorsk, you should use "eit", being the neuter indefinite article (eit tre, eit hus, eit hjarte).
And while we're at it, "ei" is the female indefinite article (ei dame, ei jente, ei ku).
