If there's an interview where the 有名人 is being asked questions, then "interview" is the right word
In all other cases, you can use "cover a story about"
- I am covering a story about the restaurant
- I am covering a story about Tokyo
- I am covering a story about the famous person
- I am interviewing the famous person
