Some people are rich for sure. But many people get loans to pay for their cars. Public transportation is not very good in the United States. There are many cities where you can't go anywhere without a car because everything is so far apart. Some employers will refuse to hire you if they find out you don't have a car.
@Laurent_Le but yet they are expensive ...if you talk about our place we get cheap car around 4hundred thousands Ruppes (4lak) ......and 1lit/gasoline cost around 75+ Ruppes...and many people have 200hundred Ruppes day income ... so not affordable for common people here unless you rich...so how it possible for you people?
@Shivam7 Car price in India isn't the same as the U.S. nor is salary, wages, or standard and cost of living. You can't compare the two countries without considering all factors. For lower end income families, it's common to save money to even buy a cheap car.
