“I feel so bad for you” is often seen as a sympathetic quote. As in, if they lost a loved one or are having a rough time then that’s a phrase they’d use.
“I feel so bad because of you” means that the person you’re talking to has made you feel horrible. As in, if they were bullying you or being rude to you then you’d use this as an answer.

@sammysammie and can i ask you why not by in spanish if i translated the sentences with the preposition by,, it will sound line this al hacer eso seras enviado a la carsel , it make sence, ofcourse maybe in english it does not make sence i do not know actually
Spanish (Colombia)
@sammysammie also if i use because of doing that you will be sent to jail in spanish hase sence , but as i said english is other language i do not know if it has any sence
English (US)
@velezsebastian56 well, in English it’s still understandable and acceptable to say “and by doing that you will be sent to the jail” however, it’s just more casual and sounds better saying, “and by saying that you will be sent to jail.” Because when saying “and by doing that you will be sent to the jail” is kind of specifying a certain jail.

because of doing that or is not posible im sorry for asking so many cuestion this is something that i still can not understand completetly because of spanish translation to english
English (US)
@velezsebastian56 yes, you can also use “because of doing that” before “you will be sent to jail”.
However, saying “is not possible” in front of “you will be sent to jail” doesn’t make sense.
And it’s okay! Learning languages can be difficult but you’re doing great.

@velezsebastian56 saying is another word for the word “say” or “speak” however by adding the “ing” onto say or speak it becomes a future term rather then a present term.

@velezsebastian56 hi there! I’m good, how are you?
When saying “I want to be strong for my family” it means that there’s something wrong happening. For example, if you had a younger brother that was ill, you’d say “I want to be strong for my brother.” If you’re mother is unwell you’d say, “I want to be strong for my mother.” It indicates that you are taking the responsibility for your family and wanting the look after them. Not just mentally, but physically as well.
However when you say, “I want to be stronger because of my family.” It means that you want to impress or make your family proud. It could also have a different meaning such as your family is kinda screwed up and you want to be better then what they are. For example, if your father was a drunk, you’d say “I want to be stronger because of my father.” So that you can better then him.
Or, if you had a family that we’re very influential people or you look up to them you can also say, “I want to be stronger because of my family.”
I hope this makes sense!

@sammysammie yes i am good thank hope you are good aswell , so if i say i want to be better for my son it means that se is going trough a bad situacion and i would like to be stronger for him so that i can help him and look after him and give him whatever he needs,, but when i say i want to be stronger because of my son it is because you want to surprise him make him happy , or also you can use it as a bad thing for example i want to be stronger because of my father he used to humiliate me a lot and i am not going to allow any one else to do that ,, because of the bad situacion that i went trough because of my father
English (US)
@velezsebastian56 yes! That’s right!
