New Year's greetings in Korea are different depending on the age of the person. So, You should say ' 새해복 많이 받으세요(= Honorific) ' to someone older than yourself. Otherwise, people say ' 새해복 많이 받아(= talking down) ' ( To the same age or to young people. ) Of course you can say ' 새해복 많이 받아 ' if you are very close with someone older than yourself.
