I'm no native speaker yet I use English daily and the suggestions I presented to you about sound a tad more natural to me (it's probably incorrect to some, hopefully minimal, extent).
This being said, the correct answer is 4:
"I'm not having any luck these days. I don't know why, but nothing works"

You guys are absolutely right: I wrote "works" which is undoubtedly correct but got the corresponding number somehow wrong. My bad!

Also, the reason why "works" is correct is that when speaking of processes in general (without specifying the actual nature of it) you should use "to work"
e.g.
I dated Julie for a while yet it didn't work out.
My computer doesn't seem to work.
