The 2º one looks odd to me, I did see it in books though.What's the feeling it gives you as native speakers?

Both mean the same. Simply different constructions. However, the second version may be considered slightly stilted and almost certainly would not be said in ordinary conversation.

Both are correct. The second version appears more in literature or serious written works. When you hear it in spoken language it can sound slightly pompous - depends on the speaker!
