@pliki その場合は”air”は一番自然です。理由は、実は私でもあまりわかりません。”atmospheric pollution”は正しいようですが、”air pollution”を使います。もし、考えたら、英語の話す人の頭に、”air”は人々の近くイメージがあって、”atmosphere”は遠く、宇宙的なイメージがあります。だから”air pollution”(空気汚染)と言えば、もっと大事な問題になります。人間の近い問題ですから。はっきりに説明出来たといいんですが。

@pliki どういたしまして。また、atmosphereの他の意味は「雰囲気」だから、文学とか雑誌とかでその利用も見られます。でも、科学的の意味は「雰囲気」ではありません。
