It really depends on who we're taking about. If you were to take the slightly older demographic, say, 60 years+, they probably think foreigners "are 'meh' but could possibly be trying to crawl into our society to ruin our youth and steal them away after running rampage through our customs and beliefs and reducing our traditions to dust". The middle-agers, say, from late thirties to late fifties, likely think that foreigners "are people a bit ignorant when it comes to the way our society works and thus draw misinformed conclusions about our lives. They should be forgiven so we can learn to co-exist. I might even subject my children to them by moving to a foreign country for their childhood because foreigners have slightly more progressive ideas that would make for a better learning environment for my child." Basically, they think foreigners are in many ways better than Saudi's themselves. And the youth. Well you've got two major categories, those who were influenced by the 60+'s and those who were influenced by their parents, the middle agers, and grew up in a foreign country. To the first group, foreigners are people to be wary of. To the second group, foreigners are family. It's not uncommon for kids from the second group to feel a WHOLE lot more comfortable surrounded by people not-from-Saudi Arabia than in a solely Saudi group. Like, they'd be a lot more talkative and interactive in a group of foreign strangers than in a group of Saudi strangers.

Just remember one thing Islam is our culture.
So if you wish to come, you might not wear abaya because you converted to islam but because you respect our culture.
other than that Saudis in general have no problem with you.. whatever your religion/background might be.

I love to communicate with them. This is how I learned English and many other good things. And now, I am still learning other things from them. It is nice to talk and communicate with different people from different places.
