Question about English (US)

Japanese has three character sets: hiragana, katakana and kanji. Hiragana and Katakana each have only 46 letters, so they are easy to memorize, but kanji has more than some thousands letters, so it's challenging for non-Japanese to memorize.

Does this sound natural?
