its just another way to say the same thing. but these words have different uses outside of that context "book a flight" and "reserve a ticket" serve the function. however you can "reserve a book" at the library because book has more than 1 meaning. book can mean 책 or 예약하다

"reserve" is used more often with restaurant tables and "book" is used more often with hotel rooms.
