to try doing something is the infinitive, try to do something can have many meanings, like:
I try to do sth,
you try to do sth,
he, she, it, ...
Or you can also use it for (for example):
Try to do something, Adaren.
I will try to do sth,
you, he, she, it, ....
You can also erase the ,,to do something" so you have (to) try and try. You can also visit a website where you can conjugate verbs in English. Just write ,,(to) try" and then you've got the results.
