Question about English (US)

Please help me with these sentences.

My teacher said ‘I'll give you a question. If you can guess it, stand up without saying anything’. Tom has guessed it quickly, so he has stood up. On the other hand, I cannot guess it, so I'm still thinking about it.

#1 Please correct it if there is something wrong.
#2 Does ‘think about it’ make sense in the context? Any other good expressions?
