Question about Japanese

みも が あかかった。 うそ ( ついた ) しょうこ。
I kind of understand this sentence but am having trouble with the work (tsuita). Is it from the verb "tsuku, to arrive"? Is it saying "The lie arrives the proof"? Or something else that makes more sense?

Please check the video at 12:58, thank you.
