St. George city, Utah. Very safe, and very nice people. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any good Asian stores in town, but if you like American food, you'll do just fine. =)

I recommend Seattle. It was the first big city I travelled alone in and also the safest I ever felt in a big city. It is a very easy to maneuver city with good public transport, good sightseeing and great restaurants

America's huge. What state? Big city or small? Rural?

I would also recommend Seattle. I moved to Seattle from Washington, DC, and as far as large American cities are concerned, Seattle is about as safe as you can get.

Portland Oregon is safe and small enough to see in a few days, a lot of nature to see.

Lots of great places but I think it depends on the season you are going- winter isn't great right now in the northeast with a lot of snow. If you travel in the US, maybe consider coming to Canada too (yes I'm Canadian, so totally biased opinion! :)

New York City is far safer than probably most of the cities in the whole country.

I would recommend San Francisco, my room mate and I just went there this past year and I fell in love with the city. And there's so much to do and see, long as you don't mind hills! Lol
