私はロシア語から日本語に昔話を訳しています。昔話では、何かのあ不定なtempleがあります。そのについて言うために何の言葉を使う方がいいですか。お寺とか神社とか他の言葉？お寺と神社の違いが知っていますが、その事情に何を使うのか知りません。

神社は神道における祭祀施設をイメージしますので、
これを避けるならば、
神殿(しんでん)が一番わかりやすいと思います。
これはパルテノン神殿(ギリシア神話)のように日本以外の神様にも使われています。

お寺は仏教、神社は神道のものなので、そのどちらでもないなら別の言い方がいいと思います。
キリスト教 教会
イスラム教 回教寺院
他には
廟 びょう
祠 ほこら
などという言葉もあり、これなら土着信仰にも使えるかなと思います。

神道は八百万（やおよろず）の神をあがめているので、その知られなかった宗教も、八百万の中の一つだと思います。～さまと呼んでいたのですよ。あがめる場所は、山そのものだったり、大きな岩がご神体だったりします。つまり、2000年も昔の神様は建物の中にはいらっしゃらなかったのです。ただ結界を張って、その大きな空間が神の居場所だったのです。

お寺 only for use in Buddhism （in Japanese）
神社 only for use in Shintoism （in Japanese）
教会→church（Christianity）
神殿→shrine（神→God 殿→ palace）=edifice （no use for little place like cabin）

@Martha_Fujiko That's about Japanese man and 化け物. And I found it written in Russian. But I don't know exactly where is it from. Maybe that's from Japan and just was translated to Russian or maybe that's Russian people's work. But I think that 神殿 is a good word for this situation. Thank you 💟
